Process Engineer - 2nd Shift

The Opportunity

Are you energized by solving problems and improving how things work? At Hitachi Energy, we’re looking for a Process Engineer to join our team during off-shift hours and help drive operational excellence across our manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on opportunity to influence production efficiency, collaborate across departments, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that make a real difference.

You’ll work closely with teams in HSE, Quality, Production, Maintenance, Inventory, and Testing to analyze operations and develop smarter, safer, and more effective processes. If you thrive in dynamic environments and enjoy using data and engineering principles to create impact, this role is for you. Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines.

How You’ll Make an Impact
  • Monitor production flow, operator movement, and equipment layout.
  • Drive Lean initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Lead and participate in Kaizen events.
  • Develop and maintain Work Instructions and Standard Work.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve operational challenges.
  • Execute CAPEX and cost-reduction projects.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE and quality standards.
  • Use engineering software to analyze data and prepare reports.
Your Background
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or process engineering role.
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communicator across diverse teams.
  • Proficient in engineering tools and data analysis software.
