Technical Training Coordinator - HVDC

The Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC) is a competence center with around 1500 skilled engineers who focus on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, functional system testing, installation supervision and commissioning. However, over the last decade, it has evolved to become the largest engineering hub. The India Operations Centre is a key aspect of the Power Grids business Power Up transformation program. The INOPC team at Chennai supports Hitachi Energy’s units in more than 40 countries across a wide portfolio of all the four business units in Power Grid business. To date, the team has executed engineering and commissioning for projects in more than 80 countries.

Mission Statement:

To coordinate and organize the training to customer as per contract.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Organize, maintain, and safeguard files and databases, while complying with company standards and policies.

  • Together with technical experts, create a training plan and budget based on the customer's technical specifications.

  • Represent Customer Training when calculating quotes and implementing projects by contributing and creating an understanding of the work within different departments, content, format, budgets, quality, expectations, etc.

  • Together with trainers and technical experts deliver technical training in our projects based on contracts, deadlines and within budget.

  • Ensure and coordinate that training materials, technical equipment and documentation are available for training.

  • Select, manage and ensure trainers with the right experience.

  • Coordinate trainings between customers and trainers and convert feedback from these parties into concrete actions to develop our trainings.

  • Read customer agreements and specifications, requirements management, risk assessment, cost calculations, and follow up costs.

  • Communicate with project teams and suppliers to agree on standards, systems, documentation flow, etc.

Your Background:

  • Education Qualification: Any Degree / Diploma from a recognized university.

  • You should be an analytical person with knowledge or experience in project management.

  • Very good computer skills and experience with documentation systems is advantageous.

  • Technical interest, as well as a curious and innovative mind-set.

  • You are a responsive and customer-oriented person who strives to see opportunities in your work.

  • For the role, we are looking for a meticulous and structured team player, who also possesses leadership qualities.

  • It is advantageous if you have experience in organizing and running events or trainings.

  • Fluency in English is a requirement in this role.

  • Candidate should have 8-12 Years of experience in contract reading and understand the Customer documentation requirements.

  • Ability to communicate effectively and understand the other requirement.

  • Should have strong knowledge in MS Excel, Word and PPT.

  • Should have good experience in preparing a report and maintaining the record.
