Longdong-Shandong UHVDC

The Longdong-Shandong UHVDC (ultrahigh-voltage direct current) link will transmit power from the Longdong province in the western region of Gansu to the Shandong province in the eastern China.

The link will transmitt 8,000 megawatts of electricity from wind, photovoltaics, thermal power, and energy storage electricity, from the Longdong in Gansu to Shandong.

The Qingyang Converter Station in Qingyang City, Gansu Province will be built to gather power and the electricity will be transported over 926 kilometers of overhead lines at rated voltage of ±800 kilovolts, to receiving station Dongping Converter Station in Tai'an City, Shandong Province.

Hitachi Energy will supply HVDC Classic (LCC) valves for two poles at Dongping station and Wall Bushing for Dongping station.
