SCM Strategic Buyer – Breakers & Modules

The Supply Chain Strategic Buyer for Breakers & Modules is responsible for purchasing goods and services for a company, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery. The role involves market research, supplier negotiation, inventory management, and collaboration with internal teams.

Job Responsibilities
1. Strategic Sourcing & Procurement
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies for key commodities and materials.
• Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to ensure cost savings and quality improvements.
• Conduct market research to track trends, risks, and new opportunities in the supply chain.
2. Supplier Management
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
• Conduct supplier evaluations and audits to ensure compliance with quality and service standards.
• Manage contract negotiations and supplier agreements.
3. Cost & Risk Management
• Optimize procurement costs by analyzing total cost of ownership (TCO).
• Mitigate risks by developing contingency plans and supplier diversification strategies.
• Collaborate with finance teams to ensure budget alignment and cost-saving initiatives.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Work closely with production, engineering, logistics, and finance teams to align procurement with business goals.
• Support product development by sourcing new materials and innovative solutions.
• Ensure timely delivery of goods and services to meet operational needs.
5. Process Optimization & Compliance
• Improve procurement processes through automation and digital tools.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track procurement efficiency.

Key Skills & Competencies
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Knowledge of supply chain management and procurement best practices.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and procurement software.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.

Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in supply chain management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3-7 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain roles.
• Experience in a manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, or technology industry is a plus.
• Certification in procurement (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) is beneficial.
