Mission Statement:
Responsible for project execution, contract compliance, customer satisfaction and financial return for one or more of the most complex and/or large projects involving major financial commitments. Serve as technical consultant to managers and project participants, and coordinate project activities. Develop, recommend and implement initiatives to ensure customer satisfaction and improve performance.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate major projects that may be scheduled concurrently, involve unusual problems for which there is little precedent, and impact the organization's reputation, objectives and future business.
- Coordinate activities of support groups, arrange staffing for various phases of projects and assign specific responsibilities.
- Devise innovative strategies to cost-effectively accomplish objectives while ensuring that overall efforts are in concert with customer and Company requirements.
- Approve purchase orders for contract materials and services and approve quality assurance and control requirements.
- Ensure timely delivery of quality information and materials, product quality and field service product performance, responsive to customers.
- Review status reports and modify plans or schedules, as necessary.
- Serve as prime interface with major customers and project participants to identify problems, devise innovative solutions, negotiate and reach mutually satisfactory agreement, and seek opportunities for additional business.
- Ensure timely contract completion, customer satisfaction and desired financial return.
- Manage project risks and take aggressive measures to avoid incurring penalties, warranty repairs or other costs that involve substantial financial risks.
- In conjunction with related groups, develop business projections and implement.
- strategies to achieve growth/profitability objectives and ensure responsiveness to customers.
- Maintain awareness of new developments, competitors' product offerings, and opportunities for new business.
- Provide technical direction and coordinate activities of supporting staff.

Your Background:
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering, business or related field and 12 to 16 years of experience, or alternatively, a special combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated accomplishments.
- Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
