The Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC) is a competence center with around 1500 skilled engineers who focus on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, functional system testing, installation supervision and commissioning. However, over the last decade, it has evolved to become the largest engineering hub. The India Operations Centre is a key aspect of the Power Grids business Power Up transformation program. The Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center team at Chennai supports Hitachi Energy’s units in more than 40 countries across a wide portfolio of all the four business units in Power Grid business. To date, the team has executed engineering and commissioning for projects in more than 80 countries.

As the Power system is evolving continuously, becoming more complex and connected to the Internet, great deal of IT security is required. Hence we are looking for a Networking & Cybersecurity expert who would support us in delivering network safe solutions to our clients.

Your Responsibilities:

• Implementing and designing the layout for gateway security

• Installing and hardening of Firewall security

• Implementing group policies, account restrictions and resource administration                                 

• Implementing, designing and troubleshooting SCADA Communication

• Installing, maintaining & trouble shooting servers, Routers and firewalls.                                                                   

• Monitor and validate third party security patches to ensure that reliability of the system is maintained.

• Evaluate the cyber security functionalities of product and improve the security posture.

• Participate in security testing of the product to ensure that the vulnerabilities are addressed before release.

• Perform product hardening, to allow only necessary function for products operation.

• Maintain the test environment with updated software and hardware for current and future use

Your Background:

• Have B.E/ B.Tech in IT/CSE/ECE/EEE Engineering with a minimum work experience of 5+ years in Networking & Cybersecurity field

• Cyber security architecture, defense in depth, default deny, least privilege, compartmentalization, privileged initiation, RBAC, etc.

• Good understanding of basic cyber security controls like; IDS/IPS (host and network), hardening, security policies, Malware Protection, Filtering, NGFW, etc.

• Must have knowledge in Networking, patch management, Industrial protocols like DNP/MODBUS/IEC 61850 etc.

• Hands on Experience with protocols like HTTP, HTTPS, SSL, SSH, ICMP, DHCP, L2TP, PPTP, DNS, SNMP, RDP, and NTP.

• Knowledge of CISCO, sonic wall and Ruggedcom network products and hands on experience with installation and maintenance of servers, firewalls and routers.
