Area Sales Manager - Southeast Region

General Information:

The ASM support the sales organization and customers throughout the sales process within a specific-assigned area. This function reports to the Marketing & Sales Manager for Grid Components supporting Instrument Transformers, Power Quality Products, Surge Arresters and Disconnect Switches.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Increase new and existing sales and business by supporting the Sales organization.
  • Promote Hitachi Energy products internally and externally by providing webinars, seminars, presentations, Lunch & Learns etc…
  • Influence customer specifications.
  • Provide relevant knowledge on products to customers, sales organization etc.
  • Create sales plans jointly with FES, REPS and Account organization.
  • Bid operations.
  • Analyzes customer needs and competitor offers through general market information and information provided by local Sales organization.
  • Ensures efficient marketing actions and communication to local Sales organization and customers.
  • Prepares offers in coordination with the bid and proposal department and/or the Marketing Manager. Ensures appropriate technical and financial aspects of offers, including prices and trading conditions.
  • Manages administrative procedures in sales processes and supports collection and project management activities when needed.
  • Communicates the value proposition of the products, systems, service and packages.
  • Bring competitive data on market, product and competitors, provide clear pricing indicators for projects.
  • Communicates details in accordance with Hitachi Energy offering and strategy (delivery time, payments, and general terms and conditions).
  • Provide status reviews and proposes recovery plan(s) in cases of potential order shortfalls.
  • Report monthly sales activities, customer visits Requests the sales forecast.

Your Background:

  • Experience should be 8-10 years in Power Industry.
  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Masters preferred.
