Within the area of High Voltage Products, we produce Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) used worldwide for the transmission and distribution of electrical energy.
For our factory Zürich, Oerlikon, we are searching for a Quality Engineer for our feeder factories, driving product and process quality within the GIS organization by supporting and coaching the various functions with respect to product quality and quality process improvements.
Tasks:
- Proactively measuring and analyzing data from production and field operation in order to early/pro-actively identify product quality issues, perform / lead process FMEA (failure mode and effect analysis)
- Perform regular audits internally and within the Feeder Factories
- Improving product quality within as well as in collaboration with internal and external suppliers by supporting or leading issue resolution projects to rectify non conformities (quality case management)
- Perform / assist with troubleshooting tasks for quality issues in the production
- Ensure reporting of Q issues in SAP and CCRPs/DMAIC towards Feeder Factories
- Drive for sustainable solutions including improvements in quality assurance
- Drive development of ABB Feeder Factories through regular audits, quality circles and inspect & expedite for critical customer projects
- Foster adherence to and improvement of quality processes
- Support improvements of product development projects and processes (with respect to quality aspects)
- Apply L6S methodology in the area of product & process quality and demonstrate their value to the organization.
Requirements:
- Education: university degree or technicien or equivalent experience, Experience with use of preventive quality management techniques (FMEA, APQP, L6S, SPC, 8D)
- Quality management expertise
- technical competence in GIS manufacturing and product design
- L6S Green Belt is a plus
- Fluent in English, German and other european languages considered an advantage.
