As part of the Transformers Business Unit, the Global Product Group (GPG) Transformer Components and Service strives to enable our partners to build superior transformers and manage their asset fleets throughout the lifecycle. Operators and asset owners across all applications and industries, all over the world, leverage our vast service portfolio to take care of the transformers in their operation – keeping the lights on and the business running. As Global Product Manager, you are accountable for the profitable growth and long-term business success of the Digital offering. You will drive market segmentation and targeting efforts, and develop and manage the portfolio, which includes a wide range of hardware, software, and associated services. Reporting to the Global Product Group Manager, you will translate market needs into business opportunities, own the offering and the value proposition, and drive the product line success in close collaboration with the wider organization and our partners.
Your responsibilities
Lead strategic process for the Digital portfolio, in alignment with GPG/BU strategy
Contribute to market-driven business strategy definition and translate strategy into service portfolio with appropriate segmentation and go-to-market approach
Continuously monitor portfolio financial performance and customer feedback
Holistically oversee strategy implementation, including go-to-market, portfolio development and deployment, footprint, training, and business model to optimize time to market, customer service levels and customer experience
Manage, develop and deploy Digital offering, driving innovative solutions capable to address needs of OEMs and of end users’ existing installed base, and further develop and expand Digital ecosystem
Regularly review market and technology trends and act as interface between external market and internal functions (e.g. Sales, Operations, and R&D)
Where applicable, initiate and drive cross-functional and cross-organization product, service, and solution innovation teams as well as external partnership activities
Provide sales and technical trainings to expand organizational capability to serve global customer base with speed, scale, and consistent customer experience
Your background
University degree in Information Technology, Electronics or Electrical Engineering, additional business degree would be a plus
Industry knowledge about IT/OT, and electrical equipment such as Transformers and Substations, including relevant Digital, Software and monitoring solutions, and associated Services
More than 7 years of experience in Sales & Marketing, Product Management, Services, in an international/global environment
Ability to build relationships and external partnerships
Creative and result-oriented, self-driven business leader with strong analytical, reasoning, problem solving and organizational skills
Excellent influencing, relationship, interpersonal and communication skills
Capability to translate customer needs into offering and business results
Work experience in different countries and cultures
Willingness to travel 10-30% of the time
