NX Application Specialist / Administrator

The Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC) is a competence center with around 1500 skilled engineers who focus on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, functional system testing, installation supervision and commissioning. However, over the last decade, it has evolved to become the largest engineering hub. The India Operations Centre is a key aspect of the Power Grids business Power Up transformation program. The INOPC team at Chennai supports Hitachi Energy’s units in more than 40 countries across a wide portfolio of all the four business units in Power Grid business. To date, the team has executed engineering and commissioning for projects in more than 80 countries.

HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) and HVDC Light are highly efficient alternatives for transmitting bulk power and for special purpose applications. The classic HVDC technology is used to transmit electric power over long distances by overhead transmission lines or submarine cables. It is also used to interconnect separate power systems, where traditional alternating current (AC) connections cannot be used. HVDC Light® is a power transmission technology developed by Hitachi Energy that offers additional benefits compared to HVDC Classic. You will work mainly with electrical design of main circuit equipment in projects with medium to high complexity.

Your Responsibilities:

• Application administration.

• Responsible for application documentation.

• Creation of guidelines and training material.

• Responsible for NX Reuse Library.

• User license and access management.

• Solving and managing Jira issues (issue ticket system).

• User and Power User support.

• User and Power User Training.

• Reporting to 3rd line support (Application Suppliers, ISIT etc.).

• Arranging User and Power User meetings.

Your Background:

• Education Qualification: Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical.

• Should have deep knowledge of the NX-application Modeling, assemblies, and drafting and have been working with NX at least for 5 years or more.

• Must have knowledge in Teamcenter.

• Should have skills in the NX functionality Part Family and Reuse library.

• Self-starter caliber who could own tasks through to completion.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
