CenterPoint overcomes outages with Network Manager ADMS

CenterPoint Energy, an energy company based in Houston, Texas, sought to upgrade its distribution network in the aftermath of Hurricane Ike. The company wanted to improve its outage response and service to its 2.4 million metered customers in southeast Texas. CenterPoint Energy used Hitachi Energy’s technology to create an intelligent, self-healing grid that uses smart meter and field sensor information to quickly identify, isolate and restore power outages.
