We are looking for you as Order Handling Specialist (f/m/d) in the High Voltage area at our location in Karlstein. In this role you will be responsible for handling our shipping orders and imports for the locally based global service unit with exciting projects worldwide. In this context, you will provide all necessary documents to deliver the required materials and tools on time. Your responsibilities
- You create and print shipping documents and delivery bills according to the shipping requirements and deadlines, which are stored in the leading ERP system
- You monitor the incoming and outgoing goods and prepare the goods for transport, with regard to the necessary documents, professionally
- You schedule shipping orders, handle import customs clearance and check the validity and completeness of all documents necessary for customs clearance
- You issue customs clearance instructions to service providers for clearance into the appropriate customs procedure
- You schedule shipments and determine shipping methods, scope of shipment and types of packaging
- You prepare and make available the documents required for shipment, taking into account customs formalities and within the framework of organizational processes, in compliance with company-, country- and customer-specific regulations and requirements.
- You monitor the receipt of air and sea freight documents
- You check for correctness and completeness and account freight invoices in the import and export area
Your background
- Completed education as industry or forwarding merchant
- Basic knowledge of customs law (customs code)
- Knowledge of customs clearance and customs tariffs
- Willingness to take over export and import processing
- German and English fluently spoken and written, other foreign languages an advantage
- Open communication and distinct ability to work in a team
