Your responsibilities
- Prepare solution / product architecture and technical design documents in response to market / product / technical / functional / non-functional requirements specifications
- Guide product / solution development teams to creating sustainable, flexible, secure, and scalable high-quality software products
- Support internal / external stakeholders in translating business requirements into precise and practical software requirements specifications using your solid requirements engineering skills
- Define, own, and refine setup for operations, maintenance, and support, and continuously improve it
- Secure technical leadership on a long-term perspective by engaging with Hitachi Energy internal and external network of architects, developers, engineers, and researchers
- hands-on support of operations with setting up and configuring devices such as development servers, edge devices, or testing frameworks
- Establish and enforce agile processes to ensure on-time and on-budget deliverables
- Engage with internal / external software development vendors
Your background
- Minimum 3 years of experience with software and systems architecture, cyber security, and industrial software development processes
- Experience with system engineering and software architecting approaches, methods, and tools including design patterns, cloud computing, and software development vendors, preferably in the Energy sector.
- Experience with state-of-the-art technologies such as containerization or micro-services
- Hands-on experience with several of the following application areas and technologies:
- Web / cloud-based applications, .NET / .NET Core, REST APIs and microservices, service bus, e.g., Kafka, and mobile application development
- Kubernetes, Docker, logging and monitoring (e.g., ELK stack)
- SQL, time-series, NoSQL database management systems
- Azure IaaS / PaaS, Linux OS knowledge must have, Windows nice to have
- Java, front-end technology stacks, Python nice to have
- DevSecOps, CI/CD, and test automation
- Willingness to quickly acquire in-depth knowledge of new technologies and application domains
- Ability to work independently with a sense of ownership and responsibility
- Fluency in written and spoken as well as technical writing English
- Communication and interpersonal skills and intercultural sensitivity
