Hitachi Energy is seeking an Embedded Software Developer for its Raleigh, NC location. This role is responsible to perform embedded software development, integration, and testing of software for multiple large scale transformer digital systems.
Your responsibilities
- Develop common user interfaces and dashboards consistent with Hitachi Energy user experience requirements
- Define, create, and maintain technical documentation for the projects based upon customer input
- Review Software Specifications for adherence to Cyber Security Requirement compatibility
- Help improve operations by conducting systems reviews and recommending changes in policies or procedures
- Provide oversight to ensure quality of software development throughout product lifecycle.
- Lead the development of software architecture design and review
- Participate in and assist team members with a variety of more complex engineering activities
Your background
- Bachelor's degree and 5-10 years of related experience
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States
- Experience with embedded software development in embedded Linux distributions such as Debian, Yocto, or similar, and a working knowledge in Azure Development (Batch, Docker, Queues, Functions, Storage, MSSQL), Web Development (React)
- Experience in Python, Node JS, C++, C#, C and other .NET languages
- Experience with SQLite, or similar Database environments
- Strong preference for experience with regulated design and development processes such as ISO 9000, ISO 13485, IEC 62304, DO-178, DO-254
- Technical knowledge of protocols and technologies such as MODBUS, MODBUS/TCP, DNP3, IEC 61850, TCP/IP, Machine Learning algorithms, Cyber Security standards and NIST framework is a plus
