Hitachi Energy is seeking a Credit, Collections, Dispute Team Lead for it's Raleigh, NC location. This role is responsible for actively driving cash collections and the consistent application of a credit policy, periodic credit reviews of existing customers & the assessment of the creditworthiness of potential customers. This individual will also provide key business reports and provide suggestions to improve the company’s credit management procedures and to prevent future issues. In addition, the role will also involve overseeing the complete, accurate, and timely completion of Credit/Collections/Dispute transactions whether performed locally or in the offshore transaction hub in Bangalore and to oversee the activities associated with collection, credit and dispute performed in the outsourced extended workbench in Delhi and as well motivate, lead, and engage other team members (Bangalore) to work together to standardize, optimize, identify, and drive efficient credit/collections/dispute processes.
Your responsibilities
- Develop and implement plan for the Credit, Collection, Dispute Department of Hitachi Energy to meet commitments and deliver high quality services to business partners in line with agreed upon service levels.
- Actively drive cash collection strategy in line with Group guidelines and cooperate with global initiatives in credit and collection management.
- Maintain the corporate credit policy for all customers, across the region.
- Conduct research and provide fundamental analysis and initial recommendation on large customers and other high impact counterparties.
- Prepares and provides reports reflecting status of overdue receivables, accounts receivables report monthly.
- Provide various inputs to the Country Credit Committee meetings and ensure SOX compliance.
- Periodic review of Credit limits of various customers & taking necessary action to revise the same as required.
- Lead Internal Control for Hitachi Energy over Financial Reporting compliance and reporting for Credit function.
- Lead, implement and supervise implementation of collection, dispute and credit risk management solutions for Hitachi Energy in alignment with US policy and practices.
- Lead and coordinate with CSS (Common Shared Service) in Bangalore and Outsourced Credit/Collection Workbench in Delhi to ensure service levels are met in accordance with CSS guidelines.
- Support Hitachi Energy’s Global SAP project ensuring alignment in the “go forward” structure.
- Drive month-end closing activities following accounting principles and reporting schedules.
- People management and development:
- Provide Hitachi Energy leadership to Credit, Collection and Dispute staff as it relates to credit/collection matters to ensure commitment and deliver high quality services.
- Set credit/collection targets for Hitachi Energy Credit, Collection and Dispute staff.
- Manage Hitachi Energy relationships with business partners to ensure that services are defined and delivered in line with agreed upon service levels.
- Promote professional ownership of services provided to business partners.
- Develop relationship with business partners.
- Business Excellence:
- Commit to customer focus and customer satisfaction to ensure business partners are provided the service levels agreed.
- Establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with business controllers and perform other assigned tasks and duties necessary to support the Accounts Receivable Department.
- Coordinate with business controllers to identify reasons the delay in payment from the top customers and contribute to the annual review process for the customers.

- Proactively work together with key stakeholders outside of the Credit/Collection department and the CSS Finance to drive end-to-end improvements in the Order to Cash process.
- Actively participate in and contribute to periodic review meetings with internal customers to action steps for further process and service improvement.
- Enhance internal control environment:
- Identify opportunities for process improvement by implementing best practices.
- Drive process improvements in all areas leading to harmonization and standardization.
- Group Initiatives:
- Support and participate in safety, compliance, business ethics, Group Charter, communications and other related activities.
- Ensure alignment of CSS processes to Group solutions and best practices.
- Actively work towards the goal of harmonized and standardized processes throughout the Group.
Your background
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance.
- Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
- 5-7 years’ experience in a fast-paced finance / Credit Management environment.
- Knowledge of credit assessment procedures and ability to Interact with various Rating Agencies in getting the required information.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Advance analytical skills.
- General knowledge of internal controls over credit management.

- Preferred Qualifications:
- Master of Business Administration (MBA)
- Systems experience - SAP, SAP FSCM, Business Objects, PowerBI, L6S experience/process improvement.
