Business Process Analyst

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Business Process Analyst/Project Manager for the Quality and Operations function for the Transformer business. This role will report into the North America Transformer Quality Manager. This role will be responsible to execute the quality strategy and work to implement the processes and tools in each business. Specifically, the role will facilitate and drive execution of electronic Quality Management System (QMS) and business process solutions using quality software applications. The scope of responsibility will be process harmonization across all North American transformer factories. 25-50% travel required, as well as the ability to meet frequently for project updates and team meetings (onsite or virtually).

Your responsibilities

  • Using a data-driven and analytical approach, work with HUB Quality Manager to define key Quality Engineering and QMS initiatives and the appropriate tools to achieve the initiatives
  • Work with HUB Quality Manager and process owners to define the strategy, roadmap and timeline for process and tool implementation
  • Define baseline processes and incremental levels for businesses to achieve in their quality management system
  • Develop project schedule to complete technical implementations and work with quality departments and end users for process and tool adoption
  • Collaborate with regional business process team and IT to ensure alignment with company policy, processes, and standards
  • Build network of factory champions and formulate a cadence for meeting on a regular basis to assess project plans, document business enhancements or training needs. Lead internal testing and coordinate the testing with business champions. Document / maintain standard work packages
  • Manage portfolio of Quality Management applications and work with IT for regular reviews to manage licensing, maintenance windows or upgrades

Your background

  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience. Candidate must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the U.S.
  • Strong background and expertise in Quality Management Systems and Quality Engineering tools. Certification as a Certified. Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Manager of Quality/Operational Excellence (CMQ/OE) is preferred
  • Experience with Quality Management System software applications, including EtQ
  • Proven relationship-building and project management skills. Excellent written and verbal communications skills will be required to negotiate resolutions of controversial issues
  • Additional Skill Sets -Value Stream Mapping and ERP experience a plus
  • Requires broad knowledge of quality processes, manufacturing operations, business tools and the flow of data
  • Requires strong analytical skills, initiative, and ingenuity to solve complex problems and implement remedial measures
