General information:

Hitachi energy is seeking an Senior Project Engineer - Electrical - Remote for its Raleigh, NC location. The Grid Integration business is experiencing tremendous growth in EV charging systems, high voltage direct current projects, power consulting, power quality solutions, semiconductors, and many other exciting offerings in North America. This position can be remote or Hybrid, and up to 20% travel will be required. Local Raleigh applicants preferred.

Responsibilities:

Your main task will be working with the auxiliary system and component design for our Power Quality Solutions, supporting both tenders and projects Develop base and detailed design documents and drawings based on customer requirements, as well as local and global standards for AC/DC auxiliary power, UPS, distribution panels, battery systems, and cable design and routing Validate auxiliary system design via ETAP and develop system reports Collaborate with colleagues both locally and globally to define optimal auxiliary system base solution as well as identify suppliers that can meet the North American requirements Technical review and discussion with customers, suppliers, and subcontractors Opportunity to travel to project site to support construction and/or commissioning

Your background:

Bachelor of Science Electrical Engineering, and 5- 8 years of relevant experience. Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience Professional Engineering License or ability to obtain In-Depth Knowledge of National Electric Code and ANSI/IEEE requirements Experience with ETAP and E3 tools Experience in Electrical Grid Industry (Switchyard equipment) Experience with Auxiliary Power Systems preferred
