Engineering authority in System Design & Studies for projects/tenders with low to high complexity for Flexible A.C. Transmission Systems (FACTS) Technology aligned with Power Quality Solutions (PQS) Business. Execution of complete engineering assignments on small, medium, or large projects/tender with cost effectively and in accordance with contract specifications and quality standards. Coordinate with Engineering Manager, Engineering Leads, Tendering team, Project managers, SCM, Primary/Mechanical Design, Secondary/Electrical design, Control Design, consultants, end customers etc. and provide required support in each Project / Tender.
Involved in performing power system studies such as load flow, short circuit, transient stability, switching transients and alike for utility / industrial. systems. Correlating power system performance (i.e., dynamic performance, transient performance, switching phenomena etc.) with design of power system equipment and system control. Modeling of power system equipment and performing simulation in power system software packages such as EMTDC, PSCAD, PSS/E, RTDS, DIgSILENT and alike Specifying power system equipment such as arrestors, capacitor, reactor, transformer and alike. Verifying supplier documents and equipment testing requirements
PhD in Power Systems and/or with relevant work Experience of 1-3 years M. Tech, Power Systems and/or with relevant work Experience of 2-5 years B.E/B. Tech, Electrical Engineering and/or with relevant work Experience of 5-10 years Knowledge on Simulation tools like PSCAD/PSSE/MATLAB/DIgSILENT Knowledge on International standards (i.e., IEEE/IEC/GIGRE) Understanding application of Power Electronics in HV/EHV system Works independently, applying established standards Excellent English speaker, good communication skills Dynamic and Proactive, willing to grow in the organization Team player, ready to play the role across the different countries Taking ownership of assignment entrusted.
