General information:
Reporting to the Planning & Fulfillment Manager, the production planning supervisor manages all aspects of production and capacity planning in the factory. Leads the SIOP (Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning) process for the factory. Is the contact for Marketing and Sales when production slots and delivery dates are planned. Maximizes the use of resources to meet established production specifications and schedules. Identifies constraints and takes appropriate countermeasures to deliver an executable schedule to the factory as well as by the Engineering team.
Responsibilities:
Provide leadership to the Production Scheduling group and provide training and expertise in scheduling and planning
Manage the development of scheduling priorities & tools to create flow in the shop.
Develop a long range master plan Schedule adherence
Monitors schedule adherence, identifies key root causes for deviation and takes follow-up improvement action.
Reports information on production capacity issues and material availability impacting schedules to production and materials managers.
Working with local production and purchasing managers to resolve issues.
Works with customer service to provide appropriate delivery dates.
Works with Marketing to set promise dates for new projects
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or equivalent Minimum of 5 years of experience in similar roles, or alternatively, a special combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated accomplishments SAP or similar
ERP experience in MM and PP module or equivalent Proficiency in Microsoft Project
Ability to work cross-functionally within a global value chain Independent analysis/decision-making capabilities
Strong Microsoft excel skills
Strong communicator and teamwork oriented
Organized and exhibits a sense of urgency when necessary
Takes initiative to drive projects and lead others
Employs root cause analysis approach
Strong sense of customer focus and quality
Fluent in both French and English
Knowledge in Lean Manufacturing is a big plus
