The Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC) is a competence center with around 1500 skilled engineers who focus on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, functional system testing, installation supervision and commissioning. However, over the last decade, it has evolved to become the largest engineering hub. The India Operations Centre is a key aspect of the Power Grids business Power Up transformation program. The INOPC team at Chennai supports Hitachi Energy's units in more than 40 countries across a wide portfolio of all the four business units in Power Grid business. To date, the team has executed engineering and commissioning for projects in more than 80 countries. As Support the definition and implement the actions to improve safety , operational efficiency quality and productivity of the full value chain to improve customer satisfaction and increase profitability in a safe working environment within the Operating units
Responsibilities:
Work closely with Regional Quality manager to implement the Quality and continuous improvement initiatives and take full responsibility to deliver Quality results in operations. Ensure the Quality process is strictly followed by all the stakeholder in Engineering & site works and Periodically capture the Quality KPIs and report to Management. Work on Continuous Improvement action to sustain the expected Quality results, do RCA analysis and Develop Quality process & coach colleagues. Prepare Quality report - with detailed KPIs of the project and report to Project Manager / Management Creates standard processes and tools. Uses agreed processes and procedures collaboration tools to ensure that all activities are effectively done and achieves assigned goals.
Your background:
Bachelors Degree in Quality Management. Must have 8 to 10 years of experience in handling quality leadership at manufacturing, supply chain and/or engineering domain. Track record of delivering continuous improvement projects impacting business results. improvements Hands on knowledge of Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma and conducting cycles of learning & kaizen events. Proven data and analytics skills and basic Knowledge of Electrical Substation. Basic Knowledge in HSE polices. Detailed Knowledge in International Quality standards. Knowledge in Microsoft office tools. Knowledge in Power BI, Microsoft Forms is added advantage.
