General Information:
The Learning and Development Intern will be the central point of contact in a variety of learning and development initiatives. You will be responsible for supporting the strategy, development, implementation, management, communications, and administration of new training programs and initiatives.
The successful incumbent will be responsible for supporting the execution of various projects that drive our Learning & Development Agenda. They will foster a growth mindset, own the accountabilities of their work, drive innovation for improvements and lead by example with communications and collaborations. They will be supporting in the designing and delivering engaging learning content and process-driven job instructions, ensuring employees have a seamless learning experience. The successful candidate will have a high attention to details and a well-developed sense of service delivery with a team-focused approach.
Internship duration: 12 months, starting October, 2023 (possibility of extension)
Responsibilities:
Development and delivery of training and resources.
Assess training needs and work with the Training Manager to develop adept training solutions.
Participate in developing various training components, ensuring quality training is created and deadlines are met.
Work with repairs and field staff team members and other subject matter experts to gain solid understanding of transformer repair, creating process driven step-by-step job instructions as the core of our new training programs.
Participate in training for internal support teams.
Create communications to promote our training products, programs and services offered.
Qualifications:
Pursuing a bachelor degree in Adult learning - 2nd or 3rd year.
Desire to or experience in working with instructional design process and adult learning principles.
Desire to increase your skill developing training resources using a Learning Management System and eLearning software.
Excellent organizational, research, writing, editing and instructional design skills.
Excellent written and verbal skills, with the desire to deepen your presentation and training experience.
Proven project management skills, with the ability to work under strict time and production deadlines while producing quality deliverables.
Collaborative and able to effectively liaise with various subject matter experts and clients.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe applications.
