We are hiring a Tender/Quotation and Sales Specialist to work in our Local Sales team. You will understand the full potential of our technology and the trends in our markets. In addition, helping customers all over the world improve efficiency, save resources and reduce emissions gives our work a powerful sense of purpose.
You will give support in delivering competitive bids/estimates/quotations to customers for our local sales projects in Grids and Power Quality Solutions. Reporting to the local business your attention to detail and ability to analyze and negotiate with our internal teams and with our partners will be vital to this key component of project planning.
Target: Formulate competitive bids/estimates/quotations, taking into account best available product mix and appropriated technical and commercial considerations for each individual situation. Ensures tenders are well document in a timely manner and with appropriates level of detail, including full and accurate costs.
Support and developed sells products/systems/services to customers, focusing on volume, mix and profitability targets for assigned Business Units/Product Groups.
Preparation: Manages the preparation of all technical (e.g., defining the most suitable technology and product type(s)), financial, (e.g. total price sheet, cash flow analysis) and if necessary project management (e.g. quantifies hours of operations teams (Eng. SCM, PM, SM) aspects to the bid/estimate/quotation, indicating prices and trading conditions.
Customer relations Establishes and maintains effective customer relationships to understand customer needs, promote customer understanding of full product/systems/ services offering, and align to provide a solution. Ensures a positive customer experience throughout the sales process.
Coordination. In accordance with bid/estimates/quotation planning, ensures that inputs for editing activities are provided on time and according to established quality procedures. Manages external services to support bid/estimation preparation such as translations and governmental approvals
Documentation: Collects and archives documentation regarding the offer/order and records assumptions and decisions taken during the development process. Regularly reports the status of the bids/estimates/quotations using defined tools and collects and analyses the reason tenders being lost and won.
Risk: identified potential risks in the bids, quotations, and estimates, and in any related contract agreements across customers/channels. Provides information and leading the Risk Review process in accordance with the Hitachi Energy policy.
Sales Creates added value for the customer and Hitachi Energy and ensures the successful outcome of transactions, contracts, and proposals by using effective sales techniques. Communicates details in accordance with Hitachi Energy offering and strategy (delivery time, payments, and general terms and conditions). And in Marketing to support efficient marketing activities and value proposition to customers.
New market Opportunities: Identifies and drives the development of new market opportunities in the designated market and ensures knowhow sharing and cross-collaboration.
Supplier selection: Identifies potential vendors for equipment and materials required in the project and technically evaluates supplier offers to check match with specifications. Collaborates with Supply Chain Management to coordinate request to subcontractors
Hand over won offer: Lead the won offer and hand over to the operational department.
A Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineer, Accounting, Finance or Business
More than 2 years of experience in Estimations and Tendering, working as Tender Quotation with Industrial Companies offer Systems and Projects
Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach and strong communication skills.
Fluent English and Spanish both written and spoken. French will be highly valued.
