You will be the Junior Technical Lead Engineer to support in all engineering activities related to the Automation Scope of Medium and High Voltage Substations as well as Metro applications including testing and commioning activities of Substaion automation projects in PGGA Turkey (HUB_Europe Region), based in Istanbul. Reporting to the Lead Engineering Manager. You will take responsibility step by step to drive excellence by ensuring that engineering, testing and commioning activities are efficiently and cost-effectively executed in accordance with customer expectations, contract specifications, Hitachi Energy policies, quality standards and safety requirements.

Your responsibilities

• Coordinating all technical activities during the complete project duration including testing and commissioning.
• Working closely with customers to deliver solutions in accordance with customer expectations and contract specifications.
• Working closely with colleagues and engineers across various disciplines, sharing technical knowledge and best practices cross border within the HUB Europe Region.
• Preparing base design of substation automation systems, control and protection. Verification of the implemented base design in the detail design. 
• Taking over parts of the detail design engineering, testing or commissioning activities in relation to the project needs
• Supporting project manager in cost to complete estimation.
• Resolving technical issues both remotely and on domestic and international customer sites.
• Health, safety and environment (HSE): Ensuring the project follows and complies with company health, safety, and environmental policies.

Your background

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering.
• Basic work experience <2 years in substation automation / Metro projects.
• Strong communication skills, fluency in English and Turkish.
• SCADA system design. Basic knowledge about MicroSCADA and communication protocols.
• Having strong analytical and problem-solving skills paired with a highly business savvy and result-oriented mindset.
• Being comfortable in ability to communicate/discuss technical topics with clients. Possessing a high level of self-motivation and curiosity.
• Being available for short/mid period travels. Completed military service for male applicants.
