R&D Engineer - Embedded Software Verification - IDC

This includes product integration, testing, cybersecurity, and certification.  The India Development Centre is situated in Chennai and Bangalore. IDC collaborates with the R&D and Research centres of Hitachi Energy, which are spread across more than 15 locations throughout 12 countries. In the past 20 years, IDC has secured more than 200 international papers and 150+ patents.

Mission Statement:

As an Embedded verification Engineer for the HVDC MACH Control Platform, you will be involved in the functional testing of a wide variety of MACH circuit boards, Computers & shall ensure that the test activities listed below, but not limited to, are performed at highest level of efficiency and quality, to the utmost satisfaction of customers. You shall have good knowledge and experience in microprocessors, DSPs, FPGAs, and PCBs.

Your Responsibilities:

• Test Environment is to be created with the components of MACH Control System in the Test Lab Facility, with Computers, Servers, Input - Output Boards and Simulation Environments

• Write Test Cases / Scenarios for verifying the functionalities of the Control System for Analog and Digital Acquisition system.

• Execution of Test Cases, for various software and hardware releases using the developed test cases in the test lab.

• Report the test execution details to the development team for further actions.

• Responsibility to be involved and drive toward a solution for application issues or customer related issues.

• Responsibility to review technical descriptions, user documentation and make sure that the quality is granted.

Your Background:

• B.E (EEE/ECE ) with 8+ years (M.E/M.Tech with Specialization in Embedded Systems is plus)

• Good understanding of hardware-Software integration.

• Hands-on experience identifying Test Scenario's and Writing Test Cases by applying, Test Case Design Techniques

• Experience in Analog /Digital Data acquisition system (Ex: Sensor, Signal.

• Conditioning, comparators, Digital filter and Analog-to-Digital Converter)

• Knowledge on communication protocol ( Ex : CAN , UART, SPI, SAE, K-Line, LIN, GMLAN)

• Experience in integration testing, functional testing, system testing, acceptance testing & regression testing.

• Experience on Test case management tool and issue tracking tool(s).

• Experience on Boolean Algebra, Logic Gates, Digital filters, comparators & Analog to-Digital Converter (ADC)

• Should have strong problem solving, debugging skills & trouble shooting faults in embedded systems.

• Experience in Test Automation is plus.

• Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
