The gas-insulated switchgear ENK is an innovative solution for meeting future requirements of the evolving smart power grid. It is the ideal solution for reliable supply and generation up to a rated voltage of 72.5 kV, a rated continuous current up to 2500 A, and a rated short circuit current up to 40 kA. The state-of-the-art design of ENK is composed of a minimum number of highly integrated functional modules that are easily and quickly installed on site. The compact, three-phase enclosed design fits even the smallest installation site.
Gas-insulated switchgear ENK up to 72.5 kV
Environmentally friendly solution
Applications
- Power transmission and distribution
- Integration of renewable power generation units to the grid
Why Hitachi Energy?
- ABB offers solutions optimized for ratings up to 72.5 kV, 2500 A and 40 kA
- Minimum installation time
- Shipment of complete, factory tested bays in standard containers
- Reduced gas handling due to plug-in busbar connections (similar to medium voltage switchgear)
- Eco-efficient with 50 percent less SF6 gas than predecessor products, reduced thermal losses and compact lightweight design
- Monitoring, control, protection and communication features for smooth integration into digital substation systems using IEC 61850
