Are you looking to springboard your career, shape the future of energy, and make a real difference in a global company? Do you know the path you want to take, or do you want to explore different possibilities to find the perfect job? In either case, our programs for STEM graduates offer a great possibility to chart your future.

During our 18-month Graduate Trainee program, you get to choose three different assignments, one of them abroad, from a variety of areas like engineering, business development, sales, service, process improvement, project or product management. You will benefit from valuable training and development, professional mentoring, exposure to executives, and support from the Graduate Trainee Program community.

It is up to you to choose what opportunity you would like to pursue. Explore different areas and find the perfect place for yourself!

The Trainee Program consists of three assignments of six months each, including an international assignment as part of your full-time employment. As a Trainee, you decide which business units and functions you want to work within. During these assignments, you have an opportunity to develop your business network with the goal of finding your future workplace.

During the program, you will participate in many different training sessions, professional networking activities, social events, and study visits. Throughout the program, you receive coaching and support from both the Graduate Trainee Manager and your assignment managers.

At the end of this 18-month program, you will have a comprehensive foundation to find your full-time placement within one of our business units. Are you ready to accept the challenge?

Our six-months assignments usually consist of specific projects for which you take full responsibility and ownership. You are responsible for finding and applying for these assignments yourself, with the support of the company. This gives you the chance to put together your individual Trainee journey based on your interests and passions. We highly recommend that you apply for different areas of operation and roles. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to go out of your comfort zone and try roles that you might not have thought you would work with. This helps you to build a very strong and diverse professional network that will be invaluable during the rest of your career.

The first assignment starts in your base country – in this case, Switzerland – at one of our several locations. For the second assignment, everyone is going abroad! You can actively influence if this journey takes you to Australia, Sweden, the US or any other country in which our company is based. During your last assignment, you will travel back to Switzerland again, which gives you the opportunity to find your final placement within our company.

You will kick-off this program at an introduction day either on October 1 or April 1. This will give you the opportunity to get to know your team, the company, and how day-to-day life at our company works!

You will be part of a very strong and international trainee community. During the program, you will participate in many different social and business events, as well as external study visits. These activities help your team to get to know each other, collaborate, and create lifelong friendships.

The program starts twice a year on April 1 and October 1. Recruitment always begins six months before, e.g. in October for the starting date in April of the next year, with the posting of the job ad. To not miss the next opening, set up a job alert with the “Graduate Trainee” filter and receive an e-mail as soon as we are hiring again!

The application starts by submitting your documents directly through our online application system before the end of the month (October or April). If you get to the second round, you will take part in a video interview with someone from our trainee program management team and if you convince us you will get into the assessment center.

The date of the assessment center is always stated in the job ad, so you can make sure that you are available on that day.
