Hitachi ABB Power Grids is seeking a Marketing & Sales Manager, Insulation & Components for its Alamo, TN location. This role is accountable for executing the marketing and sales strategies in the Insulation and Components for Transformers North America, ensuring that the business substantially increases sales, margins, market share and customer satisfaction. Proactively lead, develop and coach the marketing and sales organizations to exceed the sales targets through high performance, being the connector between the demand (World Class Front End and Market Managers) and the supply (product marketing team in the factory), and the I&C Product Portfolio Manager (Product Line Manager).

Your responsibilities

  • Main sales responsible, hands-on connecting demand and supply (factory product marketing), chasing orders down with a clear tactical and operational focus
  • Main regional speaking partner to Front End Sales and Market Managers to drive the top-line growth while keeping operational needs (load and margins) under control; Follow-up both targets & adoption of internal tools
  • Implementing Marketing & Sales strategy based on global guidelines. Supporting the marketing material’s preparation for the products
  • In coordination with Front End Sales and Market Managers within the hub prepares top-line annual budgets; accountable for their execution and achievement. Carries out customer’s events and product promotion regionally in conjunction with GPMM. Ensure customer satisfaction and improve NPS
  • Leads Product Marketing within the factories and supports local plans implementation to achieve targets. Follow-up both implementation and adoption of business unit and global tools within the Hub’s factories
  • In charge of the operational sales within the Hub including tendering coordination, project execution and order handling (one face/one voice for the Customer)*
  • Reporting to the HUB Marketing & Sales Manager.
  • Proactively anticipates and identifies shortfalls in performance and takes appropriate remedial action
  • Terms & Conditions (T&Cs) expertise to support the team effort between country legal advisors, demand & supply side – take the lead on Risk Reviews within the Hub
  • Work together with Market Managers to make sure the market coverage is achieved within the Hub when it comes to segment/sector/channel and account management standpoint
  • Work as a team member with other HUB M&S to pursue cross-BU opportunities within the region
  • Provide continuous feed-back to Global Product Marketing Managers in relation to competitors moves to anticipate both product positioning & competitiveness issues
  • Develops relationships with key stakeholders. Plans and implements customer surveys and acts on the results to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Support other HUB functions

Your background

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, or related field and a minimum 10+ years of experience in marketing & sales – B2B, energy sector preferably.
  • Candidate must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi ABB Power Grids in the United States.
  • MBA is preferred.
  • Technical sales skills & knowledge of product portfolio
  • Knowledge of market/Customer’s needs
  • International experience
  • Intercultural sensitivity
  • Fluent English, additional languages would be a plus
  • Structured and analytical thinking
  • Networking, Leadership, Superior communication & negotiation skills
