Production Quality Manager

The opportunity

Are you ready to lead our production quality department? We are looking for a team player who is driven, structured, and has a results-oriented mindset.

As the Head of Production Quality, you will be responsible for developing the organization and its employees. Our unit, High Voltage Breakers, has a global responsibility for developing, producing, and selling high voltage breakers for today's and tomorrow's energy systems. You will work both locally and globally within Hitachi Energy and with our customers.

How you´ll make an impact

  • Drive a strong quality culture within High Voltage Breakers as an ambassador and advocate, emphasizing the importance of quality in all aspects.

  • Oversee and develop the organization, its employees, and their working methods to meet current and future needs and requirements.

  • Ensure that the department achieves set goals, both department-specific and for the production organization as a whole, and make the goals known to all employees within the department.

  • Responsible for quality in incoming materials, during production, and delivery inspections.

  • Use data and statistics to prioritize and drive improvements.

  • Improve quality processes, strengthen collaboration between departments, and optimize QA/QC activities.

Your background

  • Experience from a leadership role, preferably within the manufacturing industry.

  • Holds a university or college engineering degree or equivalent.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead. You are humble and good at influencing and inspiring others.

  • Knowledgeable in change management and capable of working both operationally and tactically towards strategic goals.

  • Strong analytical skills and good ability to prioritize and make decisions. Familiarity with quality, LEAN and continuous improvement frameworks, such as Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), 8D, A3, 5Why.

  • Knowledge in Quality Assurance (QA), Quality Control (QC), Quality Management Systems (QMS)

  • Good communication skills in Swedish and English, both written and spoken.
