Tranformation Project Manager - GDC India

Mission Statement:

The role is to drive strategic projects including new business models, Product Industrialization and localization of grid automation & communication products. The charter is to ensure uninterrupted series production of GPG AC products and on time implementation of projects.

The role will be cross-functionally cooperation with Supply Chain Management (SCM), R&D and Operations with local teams in Peenya, Global teams at Sweden & Switzerland.  The projects and activities can be of strategic or tactical nature.

Your responsibility:

  • Introduce new products in in-house and external factories in collaboration with Operations, R&D, external partners, Product Management and Global teams.
  • Responsible for end to end strategic project implementation and lead Steering Committee Meetings (Steco’s) with local and global stakeholders.
  • Lead new Business Model Introductions for enabling strategic growth of AC Products in India.
  • Enable supply change for a product/ smooth transfer of Business from global factory to India while closely working with stakeholders from Operations, Product Management, Quality & management.
  • Work on factory setup with best in class xx and new technologies for production.
  • Work closely with R&D, SCM and Operations team to implement projects related to localization of components for- various products such as IEDs, RTUs, Communication Equipment’s 
  • Review the BoMs in collaboration with R&D and SCM for material risks (single-sourcing, tightly specified components, supplier risks, manufacturer risks, geopolitical risks, quality, etc) and trigger actions to reduce our risk exposure proactively
  • Trigger proactive redesigns and marshal reactive redesigns in collaboration with R&D
  • Ensure fast reindustrialization after redesign (regression testing, type testing) in collaboration with R&D, SCM and Quality
  • Ensure fast adaptation after redesign of production test equipment in collaboration with Operations and Quality
  • Review and manage the required test coverage after design changes in collaboration with R&D and Quality
  • Remove bottlenecks in our value chain in collaboration with SCM, R&D and Operations

Your background

  • Candidate should have a degree in Bachelor’s / MSc with 15years of relevant work experience in Solid understanding of operations, quality & production environment
  • Customer focused and highly committed to delivery (focused, resilient, end-to-end accountable)
  • Able to lead a cross-functional team to achieve unprecedented results (component engineers, product architects, NPI engineers, HW product owners, tactical SCM staff, production planners)
  • Able to manage complex projects including technical, commercial and organizational challenges.
  • Calm under pressure; Able to travel (30%) – Locally in India & International; Superior English oral and writing skills; multi-cultural experience
  • Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required
