Senior R&D Engineer – Process Coordinator

Currently for our HVDC Digital R&D team we are looking for Senior R&D Engineer – Process Coordinator.

Your responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage processes within HVDC Digital R&D to ensure alignment with organizational goals and project timelines.

  • Documentation of processes within HVDC Digital R&D.

  • Supporting Process Owners (PO) and Process Leaders (PL) in creating new processes.

  • Support the PO and PL in Process Forums.

  • Support the PO and PL in Yearly Reviews and SWOT creation.

  • Acting as support person for the PO and PL to keep track that the requirements revolving each process are fulfilled (responsibilities taken step by step: process forums, yearly review, SWOT, KPIs and documentation).

  • Ensure compliance with internal and external quality standards, preparing the foundation for future responsibilities in quality management. Preparation for internal and external audits.

  • Cooperation with other Process Coordinators from another units.

  • Support alignment of process and method practices with global product group in continuous improvement, change management materials as required, and training/coaching internal resources.

  • Forecasted responsibilities:

    • Develop and maintain tools and metrics (KPIs) to monitor process performance, quality benchmarks, and continuous improvement initiatives.

    • Prepare and present progress reports, metrics, and analyses to stakeholders and management.

    • Identify bottlenecks and propose actionable solutions to ensure timely delivery of milestones.

    • Support the development, implementation, and optimization of processes, best practices, and quality standards across R&D processes.

    • Conduct Quality reviews on process documentation (correct template, good title, correct owning organization etc.).

    • Conduct internal Digital R&D audits.

    • Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.

    • Suggest new processes.

    • Driving initiatives to enhance both process efficiency and quality assurance.

    • Create Power BI dashboards to show Process KPI statistics.

    • Drive, facilitate, coordinate and work on Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) initiatives.

    • Drive Yellow/Green/Black Belt projects.

Your background:

  • 3+ years of experience and fluent English.

  • A degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field is an advantage.

  • Proven experience in creating, coordinating or managing processes within a technical environment, preferably in R&D.

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, to engage with cross-functional teams, Process Owners and Process Leaders.

  • Basic knowledge of project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Azure DevOps, etc.).

  • Beneficial:

    • Experience working in an agile methodology process.

    • Familiarity with digital systems development, or quality management processes will be an asset.

    • Power BI skills will be nice advantage.

    • Six Sigma certificates

  • Soft skills:

    • Strong communication and collaboration skills required 

    • Negotiation skills to balance diverse needs required 

    • Good intercultural sensitivity 

    • Quick learner

  • Background needed for forecasted responsibilities:

    • Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO standards) and tools used to ensure compliance with quality standards.

    • Analytical mindset with a focus on problem-solving, process improvement, and attention to detail.
