Senior Field Service Engineer

General information:

You as a Senior Field Service Engineer will be part of Hitachi Energy business based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. You will be installing, testing and commissioning of Hitachi Energy HV products like, HV GIS, GCB, DTB, LTB and its associated components, HV products control and monitoring system, operating devices, protection, measuring and control. Operating mechanism and drives, SF6 gas handling and its measuring devices, results analysis, and all jobs related to Hitachi Energy PGHV products advised or assigned by the line manager.

Responsibilities:

Providing the installation testing and commissioning activities at customer site or Hitachi Energy projects related to the Hitachi Energy HV products, including third party HV products if applicable and authorized by Hitachi Energy management. Actively participating in site activities and visiting the customer site for installation testing and commissioning of Hitachi Energy HV GIS, GCB, LTB, DTB and other equipment as and when required or assigned by the line manager. Participating in the PGHV project and work with project team as and when assigned. Coordinating or interfacing with tools management department and take care of HV tools, arrange and properly use Hitachi Energy HV products test equipment and tools to execute site activities for HV Products installation, testing and commissioning, protection and control. Completing GIS or GIS compartment assembly work, minor fabrications if required, trouble shooting and rectification of HV products defect workable at customer site and advise the action plan if the repair work need to be carried out in Hitachi Energy factory or workshop. Supports the work activities of PGHV Service at site, or at customer workplace. Learning and performing the test equipment operation used for HV product testing and maintenance work at site, customer premises or Hitachi Energy work place. Learning how to use tools used for HV products service jobs. Working with project management team on various project as and when required with full compliance of PM requirement and maintain discipline advise by the PM or customer site regulations. Leading the contractor or sub-contractor during job execution and coordinate with customer and back-office support for any resources requirements to complete the job. Get the PAC or time sheets signed by the customer after completion of assigned task that can be used to invoice the customer. Preparing and providing site reports, activity plans and resource requirements and share it with the PM, line manager or supervisor, preparing method of statement as and when required that can be shared with the customer in case asked by the customer or it is a contractual binding. Following the company rules and regulations, display good behavior at office and at site, any safety or integrity incident should be reported to line manager, supervisor or project manager. Implementing Hitachi Energy value pairs in day-to-day activity or task. Preparing and submitting weekly and monthly time sheet, expanse report as per company guideline in timely manner, prepare travel authorization prior to start the travelling for site or deployment. Your background:

A bachelor's degree in engineering of electrical or mechanical or diploma in electrical. 6 to 10 years of experience in high voltage products, electrical equipment, switchgears, HV switchgear protection and control, monitoring and measuring devices, industries or utilities companies. Proven interpersonal and communications skills. Proficiency in both spoken & written English is required.
