General Information -
The Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC) is a competence center with around 1500 skilled engineers who focus on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, functional system testing, installation supervision and commissioning. However, over the last decade, it has evolved to become the largest engineering hub. The India Operations Centre is a key aspect of the Power Grids business Power Up transformation program. The INOPC team at Chennai supports Hitachi Energy’s units in more than 40 countries across a wide portfolio of all the four business units in Power Grid business. To date, the team has executed engineering and commissioning for projects in more than 80 countries.
Responsibilities -
• Domain: Should have worked in Mechanical, Heavy Engineering, Rail, Industrial Engineering, Automobile or Aerospace domains.
• Develop comprehensive technical manuals for Mechanical and Electrical products which meets the organizational standards.
• Maintenance of existing technical documentation based on technical inputs.
• Ability to explain complex technical issues in an easily understandable way for the end user.
• Analyze the input from SME & Engineering data to create and update the maintenance documents using Technical writing standards.
• Ability to collaborate with SMEs in global work environment.
• Utilize the 2D drawings, 3D CAD data, and graphic options to visually represent the step-by-step installation/service procedure specific to parts/assemblies.
• Create state of the art illustrations as exploded views in isometric angles using Illustration tools.
• Standardize content and documents types using Content Management system.
Requirements-
• Minimum 2-6 years of experience in creating/editing technical Manuals (Technical Writer/Illustrator).
• Must be able to collaborate with SMEs to prioritize and work on multiple projects in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
• Must be able to read and interpret Engineering drawings.
• Strong Knowledge in end-to-end documentation creation process.
• Working knowledge in PTC windchill/PDM Link, Arbortext Editor and XML is Preferred.
• Experience with Product Lifecycle Management systems (Teamcenter, Windchill,)
• Good Working Knowledge on Illustration tools like Adobe Illustrator, Arbortext Iso Draw, Creo Illustrate, or similar tools.
• Working Knowledge on Schema ST4 or other content management system is preferred
