Lead Engineer, HVDC Service

We help our customers to increase their profits and to contribute to a more sustainable future. By improving and ensuring the operation of our customers' existing systems and by replacing all, or parts, of the control and HVDC equipment we make this happen. Now, Technology and Engineering within HVDC Service, need you who can take the overall technical responsibility for our deliveries – all the way from capture teams via quotation and project delivery to customer taking over. You will face an exciting challenge in the advanced control equipment area combined with main circuit aspects within a growing market.

Your responsibilities

  • As a Lead Engineer you will work together in teams through the entire project cycle, including commissioning at the customer’s station. Each project usually typically spans over a period of two years time.
  • It is paramount that you can travel to client meetings and participate in the commissioning of the customer's facility for the projects you are involved in. Many of our clients are found in North America and Scandinavia, but we also have clients in India, Africa, South America and Australia.
  • In this role you can look forward to extensive customer contacts as well as good development opportunities.

Your background

  • Bachelor as minimum within electric power, renewable energy or other Engineer discipline.
  • You have worked with control and protection, preferably within HVDC or similar.
  • It is a requirement that you have participated in commissioning and testing of control equipment, as is leadership experience.
  • If you have worked as Sales Engineer in the service market it is an advantage as well as if you have experience from main circuit design.
  • You need to be organized and skilled at doing overall planning.
  • An experienced problem solver who thrives with challenges and enjoys an outgoing and customer-oriented role with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • With your interest in technology and your leadership skills you find it highly enjoyable to support and manage experienced, as well as more junior engineers.
  • Fluency in English and Swedish both written and spoken. Knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
