The Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC) is a competence center with around 1500 skilled engineers who focus on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, functional system testing, installation supervision and commissioning. However, over the last decade, it has evolved to become the largest engineering hub. The India Operations Centre is a key aspect of the Power Grids business Power Up transformation program. The INOPC team at Chennai supports Hitachi Energy’s units in more than 40 countries across a wide portfolio of all the four business units in Power Grid business. To date, the team has executed engineering and commissioning for projects in more than 80 countries.
Your responsibilities
- Involved in performing power system studies such as load flow, short circuit, transient stability, switching transients and alike for utility / industrial. systems.
- Correlating power system performance (i.e., dynamic performance, transient performance, switching phenomena etc.) with design of power system equipment and system control.
- Modeling of power system equipment and performing simulation in power system software packages such as EMTDC, PSCAD, PSS/E, RTDS, DIgSILENT and alike
- Specifying power system equipment such as arrestors, capacitor, reactor, transformer and alike.
- Verifying supplier documents and equipment testing requirements
Your background
- PhD in Power Systems and/or with relevant work Experience of 1-3 years
- M. Tech, Power Systems and/or with relevant work Experience of 2-5 years
- B.E/B. Tech, Electrical Engineering and/or with relevant work Experience of 5-10 years
