Material Planner

General information:

You as an Material Planner will be part of Hitachi Energy business based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. You will be monitoring the production requirements and coordination with production planning & SCM team to ensure material availability.

Responsibilities:

Segmenting and safety stock & inventory parameters. Calculating and maintaining in the planning systems and the ERPs the inventory parameters safety stock, reorder point, lot size, lead-time and replenishment strategies. Collaborating with buyers for obtaining the best possible on-time delivery, lead-time. Working with operations buyers to align planning of material with call offs and ensuring that purchase requisitions are converted into purchase orders. Managing MRP (Materials Resource Planning) supporting cycle counting and year-end inventory counting. Conducting financial risk assessments decisions relating to inventory, conducts root case analysis when necessary. Analyzing excess and obsolete or aging inventory. Taking appropriate action for optimizing inventory performance, in collaboration with sales, marketing, manufacturing and procurement and Logistics. Your background:

A bachelor's degree in engineering. 2 years of experience in similar position. Experience with SAP or similar ERP system. Strong communication and organizing skills. Knowledge in Excel. Ability to learn, flexible, open-minded and team-work oriented. Proficiency in both spoken & written English is required.
