Hitachi Energy is seeking for Process Engineer for it's Mount Pleasant, PA location. This role is responsible to be part of our high-voltage power products team, which engineers solutions and products such as circuit breakers, surge arresters, instrument transformers, capacitor banks, and disconnect switches.
Responsibilities:
Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex factory automation systems, HMI (Human-Machine Interface) applications, using software tool such as VB.net, SQL database interfacing, XML, XSL. Work with factory and engineering teams to understand the automation requirements and develop solutions that meet the specific needs and requirements. Collaborate with other members of the development team to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget. Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends, and recommend new technologies and approaches to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the automation systems. Your background:
BS Degree in Engineering or a 4-year degree in a Science-related discipline. A Masters Degree in the required field = Credit given for minimum two years of work experience. Electrical Engineering ME highly preferred. Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States. Minimum 10 years of experience in manufacturing automation and system development, with a focus on product manufacturing requirements, machine interfaces, database integration and HMI (Human-Machine Interface) software development. Strong technical background with knowledge of high voltage products such as Surge Arresters and Capacitors, manufacturing needs, including experience using programming languages such as VB.net, C#.net Structured Text such as XML to meet those needs. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex systems and identify solutions to technical challenges. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate stakeholders, and team members. Minimum 5 years in engineering, specifically with Power Products or Industrial related electrical products. The candidate should have excellent verbal and written English communication skills. Prior experience working with the factory environment is preferred.
