Our global R&D team in the area of Grid Automation is looking for a Software Engineer dedicated to protocol stack development and testing. Your tasks
- Design, implement and maintain innovative software solutions for real-time, embedded, and mission critical systems
- Support the integration of new protocol stack releases into various products in close collaboration with respective product development teams
- Design, implement and maintain a sophisticated and automated test and build framework
- Carry out a broad variety of functional, performance and standard compliance tests
- Design, implement and maintain internal development tools
- Evaluate, monitor, report and increase code quality and security
Your responsibilities
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field
- Creativity, enthusiasm, fast learning and result orientation
- Experience with C/C++ and Python programming, C# is a plus
- Experience with embedded real-time system development and operating systems
- Experience with test automation
- Broad IT and SW background and willingness to quickly acquire in-depth knowledge of new technologies
- Being acquainted with agile practices and enjoying the collaboration with globally distributed teams
- Excellent communication and technical writing skills, fluency in written and spoken English, German is a plus
- Applicants with IEC 61850 domain knowledge are preferred
