General Information:
The Hitachi Energy factory in Varennes is more than 50 years old, has more than 300 employees and produces high power transformers and shunt reactors.
In order to increase its efficiency, Hitachi Energy is looking for an engineer to perform certain tasks related to the proper functioning of the Maintenance and Industrial Engineering department.
The candidate will work closely with the various trades in the department to meet their needs. The candidate must therefore have good interpersonal skills.
Under the responsibility of the Interview Coordinator, the candidate assumes the following tasks:
Responsibilities:
Plan maintenance operations.
Optimize the use of Guide Ti.
Update work order information in Guide Ti.
Carry out installation projects for new equipment.
Manage various maintenance contracts with external firms.
Check the receipt of parts in the store and keep the inventory of spare parts up to date.
Participates in the diagnosis for the improvement of equipment to reduce maintenance costs while increasing machine safety.
Support the maintenance team on a daily basis in carrying out work orders.
Replace the maintenance coordinator during his absence.
Track and analyze performance indicators in order to increase department efficiency and reduce maintenance costs.
Assume responsibility for compliance with Hitachi Energy standards requirements with respect to Health, Safety and Environment.
Qualifications:

Demonstrates leadership and a strong ability to manage priorities. Understands the importance of working towards common goals.
Ability to interact with different levels of management.
Engineer or DEC with relevant experience in Maintenance, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
3 to 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance.
Good technical knowledge mainly in mechanics.
Skilled with Guide TI, SAP, MS project, windows suite,
Skills in managing several projects simultaneously, problem solving, and analytical skills.
Action and technique oriented, global vision, leadership.
Master the French language and the English language.
Knowledge of machine safety (asset).
Experience working in a unionized environment.
