The Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC) is a competence center with around 1500 skilled engineers who focus on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, functional system testing, installation supervision and commissioning. However, over the last decade, it has evolved to become the largest engineering hub. The India Operations Centre is a key aspect of the Power Grids business Power Up transformation program. The INOPC team at Chennai supports Hitachi Energy’s units in more than 40 countries across a wide portfolio of all the four business units in Power Grid business. To date, the team has executed engineering and commissioning for projects in more than 80 countries.

Your responsibilities

  • Database Configuration for NM SCADA/DMS applications based on project specification and customer data.
  • DMS application tuning/testing incl. Load Allocation, Unbalanced Load Flow, Fault Location, Restoration Switching Analysis, Line Unloading, Voltage Var Optimization.
  • ADMS application tuning/testing, SCADA ADMS Intergration, Outage Administration, Configuring Crew Management(WFM), Switch Order management, CIS Import, AMI Load Profiling and GIS Database Extraction & Integration with DMS database.
  • Conduct tests at different stages of Project Life Cycle and create or assist in the writing of system functional description, user documentation, instructions and procedures.
  • Deliver customer trainings and workshops and assist in the designing, testing, and deploying of business applications.
  • Assist in problem solving and providing solutions and cooperate with other teams in different business units and locations.
  • Must have people skills the ability to work with both international customers and suppliers as a SCADA /DMS Systems Engineer.

Your background

  • Bachlors Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Should have 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Should have experience in Control Centre SCADA configuration,DMS application tuning & testing.
  • Software coding with C# is an advantage.
  • Should have Control Centre system knowledge of Hitachi Energy (ABB), Siemens, Areva/Alstom, GE , Schneider.
