Quality Engineer- IMP (integrated multifunction products)

For our Business Unit High Voltage in Lodi (MI) we are looking for a Quality Engineer. In particularly, you will follow the integrated multifunction products.

Your responsibilities

• Ensuring quality adherence of products at each stage of value chain starting from incoming of raw material till customer end.
• Experience of managing / leading a team of quality professionals in areas of Quality Assurance, Quality Control and Quality planning.
• Building and ensuring the correct and effective implementation of the quality strategy in line with BU / HUB strategy.
• Ensure the unit’s quality management system is maintained and up to date
• Monitor quality KPIs as per BU guideline and ensure implementation of the same in unit.
• Inter department co-ordination for driving quality improvements.
• Ensure customer complaints are handled professionally and in timely manner.
• Effective taking of preventive and corrective actions in quality supervision
• Develop knowledge about problem solving tools and high-quality customer reports.
• Supervising the process of customers' complaints – CCRP (our Hitachi tool for handling costumer complain)
• Coordinating and participating in suppliers’ development, implementation of new materials products.
• Planning and supervision of internal ISO audits and external GQA audits.
• Identify and develop quality team, living Hitachi Energy’s leadership pillars

Your background

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
• More than 5 years of technical background in manufacturing with at least 3 years of experience in Quality function in the power industry
• Proven experience in quality management and facing customers
• Ability to make decisions and solve problems.
• Technical know-how of metal enclosed switchgear is an advantage
• Knowledge of ISO:9001 standard, experience in conducting audits.
• Knowledge of tools used to analyze and improve quality.
• The ability to manage a cross functional team and motivate people to achieve unit’s goals. Consistency and determination in achieving the set business goals and introducing changes.
• Independent, cooperative, and communicative style of work.
• Fluency in English and Italian;
• Good communication and organizational skills and experience in intercultural cooperation
