For our Marketing, Sales and Product Management team, understanding the full potential of our technology and the trend in our markets is highly rewarding. In addition, helping customers all over the world improve efficiency, save resources and reduce emissions gives our work a powerful sense of purpose. You will be responsible for devising, defining, and implementing marketing and sales strategies specifically for the Government of Japan financing projects, i.e. JICA/JBIC/JCM, etc., and new energy segment including hydrogen, emerging clean energy transition and digital markets, which project location is outside Japan. This responsibility will be applicable not only to utility market but also to non-utility market such as renewable energy, industries (rail, water, oil & gas, etc.). You are expected to connect and develop relationship within related fraternity and support the growth of business where required, based on the business development plan created by associated business development manager. Ensure the execution of said business plan, annual marketing plans, and strategies so as respective Business Unit can take over the opportunities in due course.
Your responsibilities
- You will contribute to Local Hitachi Energy/Local BUs strategy development and execution through the analysis and identification of business opportunities in target business segments. Analyzes market/customer needs for the portfolio, securing customer advantages and benefits as well as white spot analysis and connected strategies to penetrate the market.
- You will ensure the development of marketing and sales plans for target segments in alignment with the Local Hitachi Energy / Local BUs strategy.
- To identify and acquisition of opportunities to expand the business opportunities in the target segments.
- You will identify the appropriate stakeholders then to make a partnership so as to develop the opportunities together.
- You will closely collaborate with respective INL (Industrial Network Leader) to acquire market information, account management method, global references, market know-how, and processes then introduce to the allocated market.
- You will collaborate with all related internal contacts to ensure an alignment, efficiently and effectively implement the strategy.

Your background
- A Bachelor’s or master’s degree majored in engineering (Electrical background is a Plus).
- Business development and/or sales experience with track record in electrical transmission/distribution segment, or in renewable energy segment.
- Strong customer relationship management skills.
- Strategic thinking, critical thinking and good communications and influencing skills.
- Product knowledge + Power receiving substation and transforming equipment with extra-high/high voltage, as well as motivation to learn Hitachi Energy product portfolio
- Business level English / Native Japanese.
