Hitachi Energy is currently looking for an HSE Specialist for the Transformers Business to join their team in Vadodara, India. This team seeks a skilled and motivated individual.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Manager legal requirements of HSE and comply on regular basis

  • Support businesses in meeting the HSE KPIs.

  • Weekly call with all the operation leads to ensure compliance.

  • Prepare the business in line with Hitachi Energy Management system requirements.

  • Lead the mandatory training program in the business

  • Reviewing ABRA and LSR Compliance and take actions and follow-up with team to close gaps on time.

  • Good knowledge in Electrical and mechanical shut down activity in low and High voltage.

  • Management of Change and Risk assessment and environment aspect and impact assessment.

  • Change the behavioral aspects at workplace

  • Good knowledge about the electrical and mechanical maintenance.

  • Prepare the Fire risk assessment and operational plan and good knowledge about the fire pump station and fire protection equipment.

  • Perform safety observation tours, safety audits and inspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards, and to ensure safety regulation compliance.

  • Manage all required documentation, operational checks and reports for the HSE Management System to be compliant with ISO standards.

  • Compile all NCs, prepare corrective action and follow up for closure of NCRs.

  • Prepare and timely submit all MIS & reports.

  • Share best practices across all units to grow the knowledge and competence of the teams.

  • Providing advice and training on safety protocols and conducting audits to ensure compliance with organization and government standards related to environmental and employee heath and safety.

  • Works independently with general supervision. Problems faced are difficult but typically not complex. May influence others within the job area through explanation of facts, policies and practices.

Your Background

  • Graduation in Science and engineering

  • 10 years of experience in field of HSE

  • NEBOSH IGC Certified.

  • Good exposure with safety related profile.  industrial electrical safety , plant maintenance safety ,machinery safety , Fire protection equipment and procedures.

  • Electrical Shutdown activity. Construction safety & height safety, materials handling safety etc

  • Lead in BU Carbon neutrality program

  • Lead and support the factories on Machinery Safety Requirements and compliance. Implement the Machinery Safety standards in the Factories.

  • Good Knowledge related of Safety requirement as DISH/ Factory Act and implementation in operation.

  • Prepare the Manifest for all hazardous materials disposal.

  • Goold knowledge of legal requirements

  • Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required
