The Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC) is a competence center with around 1500 skilled engineers who focus on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, functional system testing, installation supervision and commissioning. However, over the last decade, it has evolved to become the largest engineering hub. The India Operations Centre is a key aspect of the Power Grids business Power Up transformation program. The INOPC team at Chennai supports Hitachi Energy's units in more than 40 countries across a wide portfolio of all the four business units in Power Grid business. To date, the team has executed engineering and commissioning for projects in more than 80 countries As a Project Lead Engineer you will be responsible to plan and execute complex multiple BESS projects in the Grid Edge Solutions' . Ensure HE Projects are executed effectively with in Budget , drive cost saving initiatives a, engineering standards with a Pool of engineers also Work closely with other cross function teams such as R&D, PM and sales teams in development of new solutions.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for conceptual and detailed design of control panels, energy storage systems and LV/MV panels. & optimization of engineering, manage multiple projects by using resources effectively on the same time. Standardization and develop templates for the Products/panel design & Project /Product documentation preparation. Responsible for technical enquiry preparation, vendor assessment, offer evaluations, coordination with factory for technical clarifications, production schedules, manufacturing stage inspections, FAT, and delivery to customer. Establishes contacts with suppliers for technical support, to improve material quality and/or to decrease costs. Technical Obtains prototype product and develops technical tests. Ensure the deliveries as per schedule and carry out regular reviews. Coach and develop project engineers / designers to deliver their maximum potential , plan the skill development needs for the engineers. Having Knowledge on IEC /ANSI international standards. Power system studies experience with knowledge on Load flow and short circuits and able to define operation philosophy.
Your background:
Bachelors degree in B.E/M E - Electricals. Must have 10-15 years' experience in electrical process control design and engineering functions executing large projects. Experienced in Switchgear design, AC /DC, Battery systems, power distribution boards Hands on Experience in testing and commissioning on MV/LV systems is preferred Should able to independently execute the projects on own and Experience managing projects. Knowledge on protection, DCS/SCADA concepts. Proactive and highly organized including timeliness and ability to meet deadlines and changing priorities.
