We are the Global Center of Competence (GCoC) for Power Conversion within the Global Product Group (GPG) Grid & Power Quality Solutions (GPQS) in the Business Unit Grid Integration, Hitachi Energy. We are located in Turgi, Switzerland and we have a leading position in the development, manufacturing, installation, commissioning, and service of high-power electronic converters for STATCOM and rail power supply converters as well as for static frequency converters for industrial applications. We are looking for an experienced Inventory Manager to join our team. You should also be willing to take on other production warehousing tasks in a flexible manner. Your main job will be to actively manage our inventory levels to the economic optimum and secure smooth processes in the context of our 3rd party operated warehouse. You maintain master data, resolve disturbances, and satisfy operational needs of in-house peers across many hierarchical levels. You anticipate mid- and long-term issues yet are efficient in handling daily warehousing needs.
Responsibilities:
Ensure inventory master data for optimum economic outcome and smooth operations Resolve material flow related disturbances in collaboration with peers Lead and book inventory counting as well daily reconciliations, ad-hoc and annual Support MRP (Material Requisition Planning) controllers in resolving material shortages Initiate stock transfers and ad-hoc, short distance transports Maintain KANBAN loops to track fluctuating production demand Support SAP process improvements as key user with deep insights
Your background:
Proven experience in Inventory Management or a similar role Advanced SAP skills, preferably on the MM, IM, EWM modules Excellent communication skills in German and English, both written and verbal Ability to provide easy-to-understand reports High-level of foresight and problem-solving skills Strong analytical skills
