Are you passionate about creating robust and secure network infrastructures? Join Hitachi Energy as a Network Engineer for Grid Integration HVDC/GPQSS in North America, based in Raleigh, NC. This role offers you the chance to work with a diverse team of customers, local project managers, third-party contractors, and international engineering teams. You'll be at the forefront of developing and implementing LAN/WAN system designs that support IT and industrial control equipment, ensuring high standards of security and performance. How You'll Make an Impact

  • Develop and implement LAN/WAN system designs and architectures.

  • Coordinate IT and industrial control equipment activities during security assessments.

  • Ensure proper use, configuration, and care during security tests.

  • Schedule and coordinate security tests within internal factory settings.

  • Develop and maintain information security procedures for IT equipment.

  • Procure, install, and configure various IT and industrial control equipment.

  • Conduct security assessments of customer systems, services, and programs.

  • Maintain a deep understanding of IT networking and infrastructure.


Your Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Computer Science.

  • Minimum of five years of relevant experience.

  • Experience with highly technical projects.

  • Understanding of technologies like VMWare, switching and routing, DNS, TCP/IP, and Active Directory.

  • Knowledge of cyber security policies, including defense in depth strategies.

  • Possession of, or ability to obtain, CISSP Certification.

  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
