Job Requisition: Inventory Manager

Job Description

DTB Operations Inventory Manager requires specific technical knowledge to plan, organize, and control resources, procedures, and timing for inventory control which includes:

  • Plans and/or controls inventory of finished goods for sales warehouses, distribution centers, and factory mixing points to meet sales and distribution demand.
  • Analyzes inventory levels, inventory positioning, and planned production and sales forecasts.
  • Develops and maintains inputs to inventory system, including network changes, lead-times, cost and delivery expectations, past and future promotional events, and new product introductions.
  • Coordinates with traffic, production planning, and warehouse personnel to ensure appropriate routing, scheduling, and storing of goods.
  • Supervises professional level employees (typically entry or experienced level) and may also supervise some para-professional employees.
    • Responsibilities typically includes setting of goals and objectives for team members for achievement of operational results.
  • Problems faced may be difficult but typically are not complex.
  • Ensures policies, practices and procedures are understood and followed by direct reports, customers and stakeholders.

Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Receiving of material directly to the facility from the Distribution Center (DC) – REIWA and SAP knowledge a plus.
  • Direct organization of incoming material to the various Assembly Lines.
  • Organization of un-kitting of material and staging to the various production lines.
  • Manage all non-DC inventory at both the Mount Pleasant and Greensburg locations.
  • Interfaces with DC on all needs (one-point contact).
  • Oversees all Material Handlers and Inv. Specialist at both sites.
  • Responsible for Kanbaning of material on sites.

Knowledge of inventory controls, organization and implementation are a MUST.

Must have a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent for this position.  This is a management position and a degree is required. 

Minimum of at least 5 years experience with Inventory Management is also required.

This role will report to the DTB Operations Manager and will support the Assembly/Test/Shipping teams as needed.  This particular position is for both the Mount Pleasant and Greensburg facilities.
