Responsible for proper use and maintenance of required personal safety protective equipment and understanding proper hazardous waste material handling. Check materials/units to assure receipt and completion according to specifications.  Identify and report material irregularities and equipment malfunctions to appropriate personnel and/or department. Receive or determine work assignments after schedules, production authorization, logbooks, overdue reports or other appropriate information sources have been reviewed.  Keep work area clean, orderly and in safe condition. Set control settings on welding equipment such as voltage, gas flow, wire speed and voltage for a variety of material variances. Check broadcast sheets and reference drawings and any associated information for parts requirements and location on units.  Obtain materials as necessary. Clean welds as required either manually or with power grinder.  Complete required production reports. Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment and stud guns. Order materials and supplies as needed.  Complete required feedback and all necessary manufacturing information documentation daily or as required.
