Global Product Compliance Specialist (f/m/d)

Hitachi Energy offers power and automation products, systems and service solutions across the generation, transmission and distribution value chain - enabling a stronger, smarter and greener power grid. We are seeking a Global Product Compliance Specialist to be based in Europe (Germany, Poland or Switzerland preferred) who will be part of our business function Legal and Integrity. This role will report to the Head of Global Trade Compliance.

Your responsibilities

  • Monitor, interpret and advise on product related regulations that impact the Hitachi Energy product portfolio
  • Provide guidance and conduct training to internal stakeholders on relevant product compliance regulations
  • Drive product compliance related projects cross functionally
  • Oversee relevant product related data and drive data improvements as well as automation/digitalization
  • Embed product compliance into existing processes and tools (Portal, SharePoint, SAP, gate models, etc.)
  • Proactively identify and resolve product compliance related issues and challenges
  • Create and maintain the appropriate corporate regulations and standards for product compliance
  • Living core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.

Your background

  • Degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Law or other related subject
  • Several years of experience in working in or with in large multinational organizations
  • Experience of product compliance regulations globally, with a focus on chemical compliance
  • Experience in creating visual dashboards, managing product compliance data and metrics
  • Experience in Project Management and managing external Consultants
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and ERP systems (SAP)
  • High customer and solution orientation paired with a communicative personality
  • Hands-on and problem-solving mentality to challenge “status quo”
  • A collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills
  • Willingness to develop the role and scope considering evolving regulatory environment
  • Fluent English, other languages an asset
  • Willingness to travel (10-20%)
