Hitachi energy is seeking for an International Projects Manager for its Raleigh, NC location. This position will lead international projects within the North America Transformers Group. Reporting to the Project Management Office Manager, you will maintain and enhance customer satisfaction by providing excellent service at all stages of the project. Location is open within Continental United States. Up to 15% travel may be required.
Your responsibilities
- Leading remote/ international project teams, with clear guidelines, tasks, and milestones, while motivating and providing feedback
- Managing all aspects of the project to agreed-upon customer requirements and ensuring all technical, safety, quality and financial targets are met
- Overseeing the development of project plan documents in relation to scope, budget, schedule, and risk management
- Monitoring each stage of project implementation to ensure best practices in scope control, cost control, resource efficiency, risk management, health and safety, and the environment
- Identifying, analyzing, and mitigating project risks, with the regular sharing of lessons learned
- Coordinating contract negotiation and claims with customers, in collaboration with the Supply Chain and Legal functions
- Achieving project deliverables and compliance with contract requirements
- Building strong relationships with customers and stakeholders
Your background
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent, and a minimum 3 years of relevant experience
- Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States. International relocation will not be offered for this position
- Proven capability to coordinate and lead remote teams, working in different geographic locations
- Demonstrated experience in management of project scope, cost, schedules, quality, and vendors/subcontractors
- Sound knowledge of the Transformer offerings and the North American energy sector
- Strong knowledge and experience in SAP, MS Project, MS Excel, and other PM tools
- A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach, and strong communication skills
