Hitachi Energy is seeking a Distribution Center Manager for its Mount Pleasant, PA location. This role is seeking to fill one position for Distribution Center Manager reporting to North America Operations Manager, and responsible for planning, controlling and implementing processes related to materials and finished goods storage and movement including: Materials Movement & Storage, Finished Goods Movement & Storage, Inventory Controls, Routings and traffic management of small fleet of trucks, General Logistics & Optimization, Planning and Controls of the Distribution Center operations in Mt Pleasant, PA, focusing on customer service level and revenues stream of four product lines.
Your responsibilities

Ensures that Group and local health, safety and environmental guidelines and directives are implemented and understood to ensure safety of people and resources
- Distribution Center budget: Proposes and manages the annual logistics and warehouse budget. Deploying strategies, to optimize resources and determines actions to increase productivity and address cost issues as necessary.
- Distribution Center improvement: Continuously improves inbound, warehouse and outbound operations using lean practices, to achieve objectives in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory and Costs (S>>Q>D>I>C). Improving capabilities, planning, and optimizing transportation time and modal, warehouse utilization and inventory.
- Distribution Center operations: Provides strategic leadership for their respective facility to achieve key performance metrics while meeting all regulatory obligations. Working collaboratively with cross-functional and global stakeholders to operate in compliance with SAP guidelines and best-in-class practices.
- People leadership and development: Defines and implements personnel improvement plans to leverage capabilities of SAP System, Inventory Management, Continuous Improvement Methods. Guiding, motivating and develop direct and indirect team. Demonstrates value-based behaviors, ensuring clarity in stakeholder communications

Your background
- Minimum 15 years of experience from leading positions in General Logistics, Warehouse, and Inventory Management.
- Profound knowledge of SAP, Warehouse and Inventory Management Systems demonstrated through experience,
- Science, Engineering and or Finance bachelor’s degree is required, with desirable certification in Inventory Management, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
- Must be organized and disciplined to keep daily management cadence and leadership standard work for direct reports.
- Demonstrated ability to improve processes and manage complex projects with strong analytical skills; building effective teams, set direction, and meet commitments. Developing strong, two-way, trusting relationships, active listener, working collaboratively with different product lines, as influential leader with resilience and ability to manage conflicts, with strong drive for safe operations, quality, customer service and financial results.
- Position is based on site at our Mt. Pleasant facility.
- Candidate must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
